Is Health Coaching Right for You?



Hello! I'm Gabby and I want to give you a brief description of what a health coach does and specifically how the coaching process works at Inner Glow Coaching.


Some of you may have researched health coaches or have been on my website or Instagram page and thought "OK I kind of understand this, but what does a health coach actually do? and is it the right fit for me?"

I'm going to speak specifically about inner glow coaching in my program.

A health coach is a guide and support who helps develop your vision and set goals while providing a safe space for conversation and reflection.

The First step to starting a health coaching program is to set up an initial consultation. This is important for determining if this is a good fit for both of us. Coaching is a partnership and will require work on both sides, you want to feel that I will push you but also hold space with compassion and empathy.

The next step is determining which program is right for you I offer three or six-month programs and this is done to allow for the best opportunity to develop long term lifestyle changes. It can be really easy to make a change for a week or two, but we are working with sustainable lifestyle changes for the long term so we will need a bit of time.

For each program, we meet for one hour once a week. In the first couple of meetings, we will work to establish a vision. This is what your ideal life looks like. I like to ask "if we change nothing about your life right now, what will your life look like in one to five years? On the flip side if we change everything that you want to change right now, what will your life look like in one to five years? These are really powerful questions that can help to get super creative about how you want your life to look and how you want to feel living it.

After the vision is developed, we will create really specific goals each week. Our sessions will allow for reflection on what we can celebrate, what we need to change or adapt, and what the specific goals are for the following week.

I am here to support you as best I can and hold you accountable to your goals. To do this, I offer a messaging service for you to reach out with any questions or if you just want to tell me about a great workout or a meal you cooked!

Throughout our sessions, we will always refer back to your vision and adapt as needed. This is a living and changing plan and we will work through it together.

So, to recap, a health coach is someone who is there to help develop your visions, set goals, keep you accountable, and hold a safe space for conversation and attention.
